If your TV has optical input you will have to adjust the sound through the tv settings in order for it to work correctly

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The soundbar has an optical port. If you've never used one before these ports look like they're blocked with a piece of plastic. This is just a dust cover door. The optical cable will push it aside. I'm not sure if you specifically intend the use of an HDMI but I've been satisfied using optical.
