A:AnswerI'm having this issue too. The subwoofer is sitting 2 feet directly before the soundbar with nothing in between and it fades in and out like waves. Like every 2 seconds. In then out then in then out, etc.
A:AnswerThe LG - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer and Digital Amplifier - Black, Model # SH3K will connect to any TV that has an Optical Digital (Toslink) Output on it via an Optical cable connected to the Optical input on the Soundbar. With regards to if its' 300W output will be sufficient for a room of 10 x 20 feet will depend on various factors. Keep in mind that loudness decreases with distance from the speakers. The type of sound will also make a difference so what you are using the soundbar for will make a difference (i.e. Music (type of music), Movies etc.,) Depending on whether you have bare wood floors or carpeted floors will make a difference. Bare floors wood floors or tiled floors will sound more cavernous due to sound reflections and carpeted floors will sound warmer but may not sound as loud since the sound is absorbed by the carpets. Window drapes will have the same effect versus bare windows. Furniture in the room will affect the sound quality as well. 300W may be sufficient for a room that size if you sitting close to the system, but there are so many things to consider and the best way would be to actually try the Soundbar in your environment...^IFV
A:AnswerYes but the sound is much better with the sub-woofer. The sub-woofer is completely separate and is not even attached (via cables or anything) to the soundbar. All you have to do for the sub-woofer is plug it in. That means you can put it anywhere you want to (it doesn't have to be near the soundbar).
A:AnswerHi Kev. We regret to read that you are experiencing popping and clipping in your subwoofer for the LG 2.1ch 300W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, Model # SH3K and apologize for any inconveniences. A popping noise from the subwoofer indicates a power mismatch in the circuit. The popping noise occurs as the amplifier tries to produce more voltage than it can to meet the demands of the subwoofer. This ends up clipping the sound on every cycle. A power mismatch is not the only issue that causes a popping noise from the subwoofer. The noise may also be due to loose connections in the circuit. Try changing the outlet that the subwoofer is plugged into and don't plug anything else into it to see if that resolves the popping and clipping...^IFV
A:AnswerI compared this LG to Samsung & several other models, and hands down the LG SH3K was the best. Performed just as well at home. For my money, it beats more expensive brands. Very clear, sharp sound, nice bass tones
A:AnswerTo sum it up, you'll see the difference in the SJ5Y-S. And it's not just the 20W increase, but it seems to handle voice a lot better than the SH3K (Which for the price is still a very good soundbar/subwoofer setup. The addition of the front speaker cover on the SJ5Y is certainly nice, and the HDMI input is great if you plan on using a separate device (BlueRay or digital cable box) that needs to pass through to your TV. And lastly, the SJ5Y is compatible with the SPJ4 Wireless rear speaker kit that is sold separately if you ever wish to upgrade to a surround sound setup. The SH3K is not. Because I didn't need the extra functionality I ended up going with the SH3K which works great, but the upgrade is worth the additional cost if you choose to go with the SJ5Y-S. Both are priced competitively given the Samsung and Vizio alternatives which are a little more expensive for a similar product.
A:AnswerI don't know what your car sounds like, but I doubt it will be that good! It is great for the price and simplicity of the speakers. It is a huge upgrade from the typical tv speakers.
A:AnswerThe Bluetooth module in the LG 2.1ch 300W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, Model # SH3K does not transmit Bluetooth signals, it is a receiver that can be paired to Bluetooth devices so you can stream audio from those devices to the Sound Bar wirelessly via Bluetooth™. It will not work with Bluetooth Headphones since those, like the Sound Bar are also Bluetooth receivers...^IFV
