“The salesman told me this unit had HDMI hookup when I bought it last night. After reading the manual, I think he was incorrect. My TV does not have digital optical cable connection ability. Is that the only option I have ? Do I need to return ?”

• I’m pretty sure optical is the only option and I don’t know of a converter to make it anything other than that. I don’t know if optical is the best cable anyways. I kind wish mine was hdmi

• you are correct. It has only optical input and 3.5mm jack for other additional input ( CD, smart phones etc...)
