• If you're using you optical output, you may have some level control, but the main up/down is on the soundbar remote. The TV remote will only change the input to the soundbar a bit and result in an output change. You will have to use the soundbar remote.

• I'm not sure about LG TV. We have a smart TV and can only control the volume with the remote for the sound bar.

• Yes. I use my DirecTV remote as my TV and Sound Bar remote. However, if you use the Bluetooth connection on the sound bar, you have to use the sound bar specific remote.
