• Yes, the setup will work fine. I have PS4, Apple TV and Xfinity set-top box connected to TV and Soundbar directly to TV. The setup works perfectly.

• I bought the sound bars as Christmas gifts so we have not connected them yet. I was informed by the sales person at Best Buy that the bar was compatible with any TV. If the TV is an older model it may be necessary to buy an additional cable.
