• You can connect this via optical chord.but it's only going to be able to connect to one thing...either the receiver,or TV..there is no other way to connect.

• If your TV has optical outputs the soundbar will take the audio directly from the TV. The soundbar is powered so you won't need a receiver to power it.

• The sound bar has an optical input and a 3.5mm audio input jack. So if your receiver has an optical output or a 3.5 mm audio male plug it will work.
