“How can I have my Sony TV use the LG soundbar by default when I turn on the TV? I have a Sony XBR65X850C which I use with this LG soundbar. Every time I turn on the TV, the TV reverts to the TV's internal speakers and I have to go through the TV's menus to have it use the soundbar again. Has anyone found how to have the TV default to the soundbar?”

We purchased 2 soundbars for 2 of our LG tvs and we're using fiber optic cables- went thru the tv menu, set audio to "external speakers", and works fine everytime. As soon as we power on the tv or bluetooth device, audio turns on without delay. One of our tvs is more than 5 years old, the other we just purchased 2 months ago.

Please try again later.I have the lg soundbar hooked up to my sony bravia lcd with the included optical cable and i can use my cable remote to control the volume.You first need to set the sound level by using the lg remote then you should easily be able to go up or down by using your cable remote.
