We purchased 2 soundbars for 2 of our LG tvs and we're using fiber optic cables- went thru the tv menu, set audio to "external speakers", and works fine everytime. As soon as we power on the tv or bluetooth device, audio turns on without delay. One of our tvs is more than 5 years old, the other we just purchased 2 months ago.

Please try again later.I have the lg soundbar hooked up to my sony bravia lcd with the included optical cable and i can use my cable remote to control the volume.You first need to set the sound level by using the lg remote then you should easily be able to go up or down by using your cable remote.
