“Does the ice maker HAVE to be hooked up?”

• No. You do not have to use the ice maker. There is a power switch that you need to turn off if not using the ice maker. The switch is located on the front of the ice maker. I found it easy to locate by placing my head in the freezer.

• No, this ice maker does not have to be connected to water. You just will not have that functionality unless water is connected. ^CP
