Can the hinges be put on the left side? null

Yes the hinges can be placed on the left or right side of the refrigerator. Mine are on the left with the door opening from left to right.

There looks like there is the possibly of putting the hinges on the left side but when I purchased it the sales person didn't give me that option. Just said the hinges were on the right side.
