“What else can we do to improve the taste of the water from the dispenser? There is a chemical taste and we have purged the line as instructed several times. The ice doesn't have the same taste, so I assume it is not a water or filter problem.”

Ours did the same thing. We could not drink the water. As a last stitch effort we changer the water line hookup and it was fixed! Not sure what was wrong with it since it was new and didn’t really think it would work since changing the filter didn’t work but it did.
