“What is the difference between LRMVC2306S versus this, LRMDC2306S? Is this an updated version of the "VC" model? Has there been any changes to the doors at all between the two models? (LG's left ice/water door tends to slam pretty hard when closing.)”

Due to inflation, LG wanted to take advantgage of the oportunity to price adjust and therefore, with no intent of lowering the price in the future, they raisded the price by changing the model number. There are no differences at all except pricing and that you are being price gouged by the manufacturer. And since congress is going red, your consumer protections... I'm sorry, elitest handout... will be stripped shortly as well. Welcome to the new USA!
