If I unerstand your question, you will need some room just so the handle doesn't hit the wall for it to "fully" open. I had this problem at my old house that the fridge was 6 inches from a wall. We needed to pull it forward about 3 inches. The pictuers here of are my current house and the fridge in question. Hope this helps.
