In most cases a condenser microphone requires Phantom power when plugged into a device. I would recommend trying a non-condenser microphone to see if this solves the issue. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know "why", but I have the same issue using a standard XLR-to-1/4" Adapter. BUT it works perfectly when I plug in a cheap "karaoke mic" with a 1/4" jack attached, and the mic is hard wired to the cable. The karaoke mic's run the whole price range so you could probably find a "pro" version as well. I think it has to do with "phantom power" but again I don't know why-just offering a solution. Now start SINGING!
