Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The sides of mine protude 3/4" past the cabnet (i.e. 3/4" of side shows and then the door) and they open fine. They have stops to prevent swinging out and hitting anything. I think as long as the doors are outside the cabinet it will open completely.

The doors are easily clear of the cabinets. Standard kitchen cabinets typically have an opening width of 30" between them & the refrigerator has a width of 35 3/4" and the recommended installation clearance for the sides of the refrigerator is 1/8" so you will need a minimum opening of 36"...^IFV
