The icemaker makes cubes just as fast as the old one but the collector tray is smaller. The tradeoff is that you pick up a huge amount of space in the freezer so it is definitively worth it. You can periodically dump the collector into the supplied tray in the freezer. So for example you could dump the collector before you go to work in the morning and then again when you get home from work. A little bit of "labor" is a well worth the extra room you get in the fridge and the freezer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ice bin in the freezer is fantastic. We just dump the door ice maker bin in the freezer bin. I bought a scoop and it stays in the freezer bin. We never use the ice maker on the door. It also makes ice in lightning speed. We love it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use ice multiple times a day and I never not had this make enough for me. I fill a 62 oz water pitcher full and still have ice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The model I purchased has an optional bottom ice maker as well as the in the door ice maker. I didn’t get it, but the one ice maker is enough for my grandson and me.
