Depends on what you want to watch and whether you have reliable internet and whether you have an open line of site to broadcast antennas. In our case we wanted to watch broadcast channels as well as internet provided services such as net flicks and amazon prime etc. but the HIDEF antennas we purchased would not pull in the major broadcasted channels due to our distance(45 miles) and a house immediately next to ours. So we opted to get another control box from direct tv which costs another $7 a month. That was the cheapest solution and gave us everything we want to watch along with our internet programming.
