• In short, you can with an adapter. The cables you refer to are called RCA cables. Using an RCA adapter such as the Insignia model NS-HZ330 Best Buy carries will allow you to use your DVD player with this TV. My actual recommendation would be to upgrade to a simple Blu-Ray player like the LG model BP175 for about the same cost as an adapter.
