The LG 24" Front Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™, NeveRust™ Stainless Steel Tub, and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDF5545BD does not use a heating element to dry the dishes, instead, it uses a Hybrid Drying System which relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out. Rinse aid is required to enhance the drying performance and it maximizes the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. When the moist air in the dishwasher comes in contact with the cooler stainless steel tub, condensation occurs and turns into water droplets that trickle down the walls to the bottom of the dishwasher and are drained out. If you don't open the dishwasher for a while, it will dry out more completely. If the wetness bothers you, leaving the door slightly ajar will help the tub to dry out faster...^IFV
