We are not clear about if when you ask if you can hook your cable to this you are asking about hooking this up to your cable set-top box or the coaxial cable for your cable service. The LG 24" Class Full HD IPS Dual HDMI LED Monitor (23.8" Diagonal), Model # 24MP59HT-P has 2 x HDMI ports on it. If your cable set-top box has an HDMI Out on it, you definitely can connect it to either HDMI port on the monitor. If it's the coaxial cable for your cable service, you will not be able to connect it to the monitor...^IFV
