You were lucky, I never received any tab with mine. Wow, you woke up concerned and noticed the tab not completely dissolved, was the complete wash cycle done and unit off. I like the liquid type as it dissolves much better. Is your water heater set to the correct operating temperature 120 degrees, that is suggested. Hope this helps, Good luck
