The Fully-Integrated Dishwasher w/ Height Adjustable 3rd Rack LG 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher, Model # LDF7774ST has 7 cycles one of which is the Rinse only cycle that takes about 22 minutes and then the others run from 79 minutes to 166 minutes for the HEAVY cycle. The Normal Cycle runs from about 110 minutes to 139 minutes...IFV

Q: QuestionIs the top (3rd) rack removeable?Can the top rack be removed to allow for taller glassed plus plates to be washed in same load?

• A:Answer We haven't had a need to remove it, but really there is no need to remove the entire rack, just remove the baskets. I just tried and with the combination of lowering the middle rack and the top rack baskets removed you can place some really tall items in the middle rack.

Q: QuestionError keeps showing up and then I have to turn it offError keeps coming on and that's it. Doesn't work. Have four plumbers and they don't know. I called LG and they are worse what is going on I paid a lot of money for this Dishwasher. Help There is no nasty words here. The dishwasher doesn't work

• A:Answer I think the issue is probably the same. AE error. We had a local repair shop come over, who estimated the fix cost being higher than the purchase price of the product. Pacific Sales warranty is a nightmare to deal with (we are in the 4th week of negotiation). Not sure what to tell you except I am sorry. Should stay away from LG dishwashers and the extended warranty is not recommended.

Q: QuestionIn the compare tool, the cutout DEPTH is listed as 33.5 inches - for a 24 inch deep dishwasher and the DEPTH less door is listed as 36.75 inches. I'm assuming this is just incorrect info as I don't see these numbers on the LG site. Am I missing something?

Q: Questiondoes it have very strong smell when new and for how long?When new, does this dishwasher have a strong chemical, plastic, or rubber type smell for the first several uses and if so how long did it take for the smell to fade? We have a young child wIth asthma and have to be very careful because new products like this can sometimes give her troubles. Would appreciate as many responses as possible. Thanks!

• A:Answer We definitely understand your concern with the chemical, plastic or rubber smells associated with new products and especially in your case where they can be bothersome to an asthmatic child. However, the intensity of the smells or how long they will take to dissipate will vary from one person to the next because environmental conditions that affect that will vary. How you use the LG - 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless-Steel, Model # LDF7774ST will also determine what the intensity of the smells will be like and how long it takes to fade because water temperatures will vary. As a suggestion, if you are able to visit a Best Buy that has this model on display, being familiar with what intensity of smell would be likely to bother your child, you may want to look it over although that by itself does not guarantee that every unit will be the same, but at least will give you some idea. The intensity of the smells and how long they take to fade is something that cannot be duplicated and you may find that one unit smells a little stronger than another or that the smell from one unit takes longer to fade compared to another. Regrettably, there's just no way of predicting this...^IFV

• A:Answer The model itself is discontinued. I managed to get one not very close to my home, and had to drive about 40 miles to collect it. I would recommend you call Best buy and see where do they have the closest of them. the website is not the most helpful ones when it comes to finding out where it is available, as simply tells you that is not available close to your location.

Q: QuestionThis was just delivered. Plummer told us we needed a counter top air vent to pass code. Husband said it looks like air gap is built in. Does this dish washer have a built in air gap?

• A:Answer All you have to do is make sure the drain hose rises above the drain on the machine and then goes back down to the under sink connection. Much like a P-trap works. There is another device you can use, but I have never found it necessary. If your old machine worked there, your new one will.

• A:Answer Install was $139 and well worth it. I Installed my old dishwasher and it was a pain to do. They removed the old one and put in the new in about 20-30mins. Paid for the new over the range microwave install also at $119. That's the real pain in the butt!

• A:Answer I can tell you that the microwave is 15.5 inches, not 17. It will fit over you stove with sufficient clearance. I was all prepared to cut my cabinet until I took physical measurements upon taking it out of the box. The dishwasher is a standard size, (24") wide and it fits nicely under a standard counter top. Just be sure to allow the door to protrude past the the counter top so that you can see the controls with the door closed. The stove is a standard 30" wide and breaks nicely at the counter top.

• A:Answer We regret to read that your rinse aid dispenser in your LG - 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub - Black, Model # LDF7774BB does not appear to be working. The most common causes for it not working may be due to hard water or detergent buildup clogging up the dispenser or that the dispenser itself is defective. The detergent dispenser is designed to release detergent into the dishwasher tub during the wash cycles and will typically have two compartments, an unsealed compartment for prewash and a sealed compartment for the main wash cycle. Verify that the dispenser is not simply clogged with caked on detergent and give it a good cleaning if necessary. Also check to make sure that the cover for the dispenser will open easily and is not damaged or broken. he rinse aid cap could be the reason why your dishwasher is not releasing rinse aid. The rinse aid dispensing cap is located on the inner door panel of your dishwasher. The rinse aid cap could be loose and may just need to be refitted, but could also be warped or damaged from the heat of the water in the dishwasher. Remove the cap from the door and inspect it for signs of melting or warping and replace if need be. Check the release mechanism for worn or defective parts and replace if necessary. The dispenser may be operated by either a mechanical devise or by a bi-metal release or wax motor devise. Q: QuestionI had my dishwasher installed last Saturday I ran it about three times last week on different settings and it doesn't dry well nor drain the water. What is the issue? Theres no drain/cancel option

• A:Answer That is my complaint too. It doesn't use a heating element to dry the dishes. This is what I have been doing to get them dryer: Leave the door closed for about 6-8 hours after it has stopped running, then open the door about 3 inches for another 6-8 hours. The dishes will be mostly dry by that time, but there will always be water on the sides & bottom of the machine.
