“I’ve noticed that the top of my dishwasher gets water laying on the top of it. It’s on the control panel and between that and my counter. What would cause this to happen? I’m worried it’s going to ruin my control panel and damage my counter top.”

That's very odd. Some dishwashers open during the drying cycle to aid with the excess moisture, which could potentially cause a pooling on top of your door. But I would look at your door seal for any damage and if none exists, then perhaps run a quick wash or rinse and watch it to determine where the water is coming from. Wish I could be of more help.
