“The dishwasher doesn’t seem to always lock into place. I’ve checked to make sure that nothing is in the way of the door, still doesn’t shut at times and the steam gets on the top of the dishwasher. Do you know what can be causing this?”

I've noticed that if I have a heavy pan on the top rack, it can cause the top rack to sag in the back. If that happens, the top rack won't seat properly in the back, and it can push the door open a bit, just enough for water to accumulate on the top. Balancing the weight (front to back) seems to resolve it for me. Hope this helps.
