This dishwasher is amazing, you do not have to prewash, just make sure you use a steam setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We pretty much put our dishes straight into the dishwasher with two (sometimes three) exceptions as listed below. Most manufacturers now recommend you do NOT pre-rinse dishes as newer dishwashers have built-in sensors to know when the water is running clear and the dishes are clean (I’m not a dishwasher expert so I can’t explaon it, but we want the sensors to recognize that the dishes are dirty in the beginning.) That being said, I WILL rinse three ingredients off before loading *if they are baked on or if I know the ingredients will dry up and be harder to get clean if I won’t run the dishwasher the same day: ketchup (only if not running the dishwasher soon; it turns rubbery and becomes harder to remove), melted cheese, and eggs (we always soak and/or scrape off the last two.). Think of the things you would normally soak for a little while or would require serious scrubbing if you were to hand wash them. If needed, I’ll do that before loading them into the dishwasher. Other dishes go straight in! Although you DO a want to dispose of any items in the trash or down the disposal prior to loading, of course. I don’t put a plate in the dishwasher when it still has leftover chunks of food on it, for instance. Just use the [dirty] fork, knife or spoon to scrape the larger stuff into the trash or down the disposal, load the dishes into the dishwasher and let that do all the cleaning for you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is advised to remove insoluble items such as bones, toothpicks, and pieces of paper while loading the dishwasher. Remove solid, burned-on scraps from dishes prior to loading in the dishwasher. Do not load utensils that are not heat-resistant or have decorative metal trim. Scrape the dishes free of excess food, bones, and any other hard, non-soluble residue. Pull each rack out and load the dishes as described in the manual. ^CP
