Where is the filter located at? null

I just bought this refrigerator. It does not have a filter. I contacted LG to confirm, and they confirmed that it does not have a filter.

About the water filter it says in the specs that it does not have one. I'm not sure if it does or not. I have this model on order and am assuming it doesn't.

The answer by LGAnswers about an internal water filter is incorrect. We have 2 of these and they do not come with an internal water filter. I put and in line filter in the water line that supplies water to the refrigerator for the ice maker.

Yes, it has a filter but no it does not filter the water. I put ice in my daughter's water bottle (with filtered water) for school and when I opened the top at the end of the day I coughed from the stink of chemicals. You can smell the chemicals on the ice directly if you have even moderately hard water. It's a useless filter. They should be embarrassed.
