Is this model quiet? null

Very quiet! The only time I hear anything is when we leave the door open too long and the warning ding comes on or when the ice maker is reloading.

Yes it is very quiet compared to my previous GE.

Very quiet--it's near family room and I don't hear it at all.

This unit features LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation which, even though we do not have an exact decibel number, we do say they are around the same decibel as library noise which on average is around 40 decibels. This number can vary due to the installation as well as the home acoustics. ^CP
