• Yes, you can disable this function and remove the ice ball tray from the freezer if you want. By the way, the ice ball look so cute.

• NO, one of the primary features of this LG unit is the "Craft Ice Maker." Someone not interested in that feature would; simply select a totally different unit. (without that feature)
