- Answer I researched this in the manual and do not see a way to disable the light. It is only on while the dispenser arm is activated, however.

- Answer I was skeptical before purchasing this model for the same reason. I found an inexpensive solution: organizing trays. I found these on Amazon and also ordered one for eggs. Works great and i haven't missed the butter or deli drawer.
