A Gallon size milk container will fit in the Door-in-Door Case of the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 27.5 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LFXS28596S...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they fit, but our—brand new, just installed model# LFXS28596S—Door-in-Door compartment isn't cooling properly! After 3 days the temps haven't dropped below the danger zone of 42 to 46 degrees, sadly. So milk, creamer, yogurt, and all other dairy products aren't safe to store there, where we were planning to at least store milk & creamers etc. I don't even know if it's safe to store (opened) juice & other things in those higher temps. It's looking like we'll be returning ours for a same model exchange; then if the 2nd one also doesn't cool properly, we'll return it for something else. Too bad, because otherwise we really like everything else about the model # 28596, but all in all, looking like a considerable hassle.
