It should be automatic. I have a Samsung in my bedroom and living room. We have AT&T U-Verse, and we all have the same screensaver. I thought it was a Samsung screensaver, but the LG has the same screensaver. So, I think it comes from the cable service.

We understand your inquiry about the LG 27LQ600S-WU’s ability to display artwork when idle. This model doesn’t have a dedicated “screensaver” mode like some TVs, but you can still enjoy a slideshow of your favorite images using the built-in apps: Troubleshooting Step: Via USB Media Share Copy your JPEG/PNG images onto a USB flash drive (in a single folder). Insert the USB drive into the monitor’s USB port. Press Home on your Magic Remote, then go to Media Share > USB > Photos. Highlight the first image and press OK, then press Play to start a slideshow. Via Photo Player App Press Home and open the LG Content Store. Search for Photo Player, install it, and launch the app. Browse to your USB or network‐shared images and select Slideshow within the app. If you don’t see Photo Player, ensure your firmware is up to date by navigating to Settings > All Settings > Support > Software Update, then retry. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27lq600s-w-ips-monitor#pdp_specs If you’d like further assistance or to explore any other display features, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to help you.
