“Can the inside plastic door that separates the Instaview section from the main refrigerator be removed? The contents on the Instaview door constantly run about 6 degrees warmer than any other part of the inside compartments.”

There is a screw at the top of the inside portion of the door at the top of the metal rod that forms the hinge. If you take that screw out there is a small plastic insert that can be removed. Then you can push the metal rod up and out to remove the inside plastic door. Let's see if this helps keep the door contents colder.
