  • QuestionCan you make the water come out faster? Mine has been slow and the water filter is new.

    • Answer I was told by the installation tech having an RO system and using a water filter for the unit would cause the water pressure to decrease. He suggested not using the unit water filter to increase the water pressure for the water dispenser.

  • QuestionWater dispenser not working

    • Answer What is not working on the Ice and Water Dispenser for the Energy Star® Qualified LG 27.1 cu. Ft Side-By-Side InstaView® Refrigerator Model # LRSOS2706S is not working? Is it not dispensing water, or not dispensing ice, or not dispensing either? Does the dispenser light turn on? Check the lock feature on the control panel. A locked panel disables the dispenser. Hold the lock button for 3 seconds. Verify that the doors are closed. The dispenser will not work if the doors are not completely sealed. If neither of those is the issue, try resetting the refrigerator by unplugging the unit for 5 minutes, then plugging it back in. Other common causes may be due to a frozen water line. If the fridge is too cold, the water line inside the door may freeze, stopping the flow. Try thawing it with a hair dryer on a low setting. Check that the saddle valve on your home water line is fully open and not kinked. Replace the water filter if it is over 6 months old or clogged. If the water filter was just replaced, air may be trapped. Flush 2.5–5 gallons of water through the dispenser to clear it. If the dispenser makes a humming noise but no water comes out, the inlet valve may be broken. The actuator switch for the dispenser might be faulty, preventing the dispenser from receiving the signal to dispense.     • Answer You can press the he Craft Ice™ button on the control panel for the Energy Star® Qualified LG 27.1 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Smart Refrigerator with Craft Ice® - Stainless Steel, Model # LRSOS2706S, repeatedly to toggle between the 3 ICE, 6 ICE and OFF modes. After 5 seconds of idle time, the last mode will be saved, and the display will return to normal. To turn off the Craft Ice maker, select the OFF mode. Your refrigerator should have come with an owner's manual as ALL LG refrigerators do.   • QuestionMy cutout height is 70 inches. I know this says 71.5 inches for installation, but will this still fit in my space with it not fully flush at the hinges? The non-hinge height says 68.5 inches. Thanks!

    • Answer What is the depth of your cutout? Overhead cabinets above a refrigerator are typically 24" deep. The ENERGY STAR Qualified LG 27.1 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Smart Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LRSOS2706S, has a depth of 22.63" to the hinge cover, and the recommended installation spacing behind the refrigerator is 2", which means the depth to the hinge cover with the installation clearance will be 24.63". That should be enough to clear the door hinge and its cover from impeding your installation of the refrigerator cabinet if your cutout has a depth of 24" or less since the refrigerator has a height of 70.5" to the top of the door hinge, and a recommended installtion clearance of 1" for the top. What you are referring to as the "non-hinge height of 68.88" is for the back of the refrigerator, which will not be an issue if your cutout has a depth that is less than 24"...^Ivan.

Just as when the refrigerator is newly installed, the icemaker will not begin to operate until it reaches its operating temperature of 15°F (–9°C) or below.   • QuestionWe have a space issue and only have clearance for 36 1/2 inches next to a wall. Will the door open appropriately in this space on this model? our current fridge opens flush to the actual width size

    • Answer Depends on how far out from your counter tops the refrigerator extends. My counter tops extend 26 inches from the wall and I have no issues opening either door. Remember this refrigerator is 33.5 inches deep (and you are likely to keep it a few inches from back wall) so that gives you plenty of room for the doors to swing open.
