Hello there, Tom. Thank you for your inquiry about the 27MR400-B.AUSQ monitor. This monitor typically requires a connection to a computer or another device to display content, as it does not have built-in functionality to operate independently. However, if you're looking for a display without needing to hook it up to a big computer box, you might consider options like smart monitors or all-in-one systems that can operate without a traditional computer setup. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. We’re happy to help with any additional information you might need. Thank you for choosing LG! —Avril
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What? What will supply/drive picture? Do you mean to hook up FireStick or Chromecast -- that should work just like any monitor TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I plugged it into my new laptop and changed the display options to the external monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.must have something to feed the hdmi port. I connected it to my Ipad through port extension.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would have to connect it to something that produces video output in order for it to be useful. It is not like a TV that has the hardware to produce video output from a cable or antenna input. I do have it connected to a surface book using an HDMI cable and it works really well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an HDMI monitor, so you are able to connect an HDMI source such as a tv, laptop, possibly Roku or other media device, but there won’t be any sound since this doesn’t have built in speakers from my understanding.
