You can connect your DVD Player's Composite ports (i.e. Red/White/Yellow RCA Barrel ports) to what is referred to as a Shared Composite/Component Video Port on the LG 28 inch Class HD TV (27.5'' Diag), Model # 28LM400B-PU. If you click on the fifth thumbnail image from the left under the main image of the unit on its product page on the Best Buy site, you can enlarge the image to view the ports on the back of the TV...^IFV
