We will need some clarification about the white cables you are inquiring about for hooking up to the LG 28 inch Class HD TV (27.5'' Diag), Model # 28LM400B-PU to see cable TV. If you look at the fifth thumbnail image from the left under the main image for the TV on its product page on Best Buy, you can see the ports on the back of the TV. Those ports are what are referred to as a Shared Composite/Component Video port. YOu can connect your DVD Player to that port. Then if you click on the sixth image with "+5 images", on the page that opens up with more thumbnail images, click on the thrd thubnail image down from the top in the right column.The bottom port if an F-Type, 75-Ohm,Coaxial Connector labeled "Antenna/Cable In" that you can connect to a cable set-top box or connect a coaxial cable to if you have cable service...^IFV
