• Check it out, but I think the smaller one is 'cabinet' width. The inside is VERY shallow. It might be fine for some, but you couldn't get much inside. I live alone and I have no trouble filling up my big one.

• It's for looks. The smaller Cubic foot refrigerators are considered "counter depth", meaning it matches the depth of most cut-outs and counters. They look really pretty, but sacrifice a noticeable amount of storage.

• The smaller refrigerators are more expensive due to the demand. The average kitchen cannot fit the large 29-33 cubit refrigerators so these items are less in cost due to the reduced demand. It's more profitable to raise the price for a high demand item.
