Hi Linda. What is the cubic feet capacity for your old freezer? The freezer compartment for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 29.7 Cu. Ft. French InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ Maker - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LRFVS3006S has a capacity of 10.40 cubic feet. You gave two dimensions for your old freezer of 46" x 12". You need a third dimension (i.e Width x Height x Depth) to calculate the cubic feet capacity for your old freezer. Multiplying those dimensions together will give you the cubic feet capacity. When you measure the width, height and depth dimensions for your old freezer in inches, you will need to multiply the results then divide the total by 1728 (as there are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot) to convert from cubic inches to cubic feet...^IFV
