• It does make a mess. I try and use a wide mouth vessel when getting water.

• Some dripping may occur after dispensing. Hold the cup beneath the dispenser for a few seconds after dispensing to catch all of the drops. ^Daphane

• A little mess depends on the tall measure glass or cup used.

• Yes, super messy. Due to epic design fail by LG. When a guest uses it, always squirts them and dumps ice everywhere but into the cup. It is designed the opposite way than anyone expects it to function. They tried to fix what was not broken, and reinvent the wheel... and it is an illoial epic fail.
