If the refrigerator cannot maintain a constant 37F and 0F in the freezer then something is wrong with it. I would contact LG immediately. My Kitchenaid started doing this and I ended up having to replace it after only 7 years.

At times the temp is 42 or 44 F. I lowered the refrigerator temperature to 36 F and it did not make a difference. I am measuring the internal temperature with both a liquid (mercury type) thermostat and a digital Taylor brand thermostat. The reviews are correct, something with temperature control is not right. I even tried various placements in the refrigerator with the temperature readings.

The displayed temperature is the target temperature, and not the actual temperature of the refrigerator. The actual refrigerator temperature depends on the food inside the refrigerator. ^Daphane
