Yes, you can setup this monitor to output audio stream through the Sub screen view. Don't listen to LG support, they don't know their own products. The 29UM68-P has stereo speakers and they are usable, much better than tiny speakers Asus puts on their monitors.

Please try again later.The PBP (Picture by Picture) function in the LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® Full HD IPS LED Monitor (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UM68-P will Display the screens of two input sources. If an input is connected to HDMI 1, the main screen will be on the left and the other input can be either HDMI 2 or Displayport which will be established as the Sub Screen. If the main screen is through the HDMI 2 input, the sub screen can be either from an HDMI 1 input or a Displayport input. If it is from the Displayport input, then the Sub Screen input can be either from the HDMI 1 input or HDMI 2 input. The monitor doesn’t have built-in speakers. So if you want to adjust the volume, there should be an external speaker connected either on the monitor or to your computer. ^CP
