Yes the gentleman that mounted my sound bar use his own mount. He did not use the mount included in the box.

The soundbar comes with supplied wall mount brackets that attach to your wall and can be secured on the soundbar with supplied screws. Screws and wall plugs for attaching the wall brackets on the wall are not supplied. If the Universal Soundbar Mounting Kit is compatible with the Soundbar, it will indicate that it is compatible with LG Soundbars and will specify which LG Soundbars it is compatible with and which TV's it is compatible with...^IFV
