In fact, not even the bottom freezer is flush with the sides and if you go back and look at the pictures of the unit open, especially with the bottom freezer door open, the amount it overlaps by should give you an idea of how much the refrigerator doors will overlap by...IFV

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the refrigerator will protrude from (extend beyond) both side walls by at least 3 inches, then there will be no problem opening the doors. I am referring to the depth of the fridge placement. I also only had less than 36" of width to place the fridge and it fits with about 2mm per side to spare. Tight.
