Hi there. I set my up on top of a 2 x 4 board, close to 3 ft in length. The tv comes with 2 leg support pegs that fitted on the 4" inch wide board perfectly. I set it on the board because I wanted to elevate the tv and create room for the cable box. You may not encounter this, but wanted to give you a description of what worked for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The legs themselves are 24 inches apart, I have mine on a dresser that is 36 inches wide the whole TV is a bit smaller. No issues even with obnoxious cats jumping up.
