Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can hook up a laptop or computer to the LG TV using an HDMI cable. The distance is based upon how long of an HDMI cable you have. A quick scan on Google and on the Best Buy websites indicate that there are HDMI cables from 1.5 feet to 100 feet. I actually have a Chromebox computer bolted to the VESA mount on the back of my LG TV using a 1.5 foot HDMI cable and it works great. However, the type of cable you use can make a difference. I have a couple of different types of HDMI cables on hand where one type works and the other doesn't. My 4K HDMI cable does not appear to work in my setup with the Chromebox and the 32" LG TV. As a side note, I have my 32" LG TV setup with the Chromebox and webcam, wireless keyboard and mouse, and external microphone to use with Zoom for video visits for doctor appointments. Makes it more comfortable for those visits in our living room than with using the regular computer in a cramped corner of another room. One other note: one of the articles cautions about using only the cable length you need (vs. a much longer cable). Good luck!
