Yes it has a HDMI on the back port to plug it into. You will more than likely have black bars on the left and the right of the monitor though because its native aspect ratio is 21:9. Most movies are produced in 16:9. I would suggest a tv or a normal monitor if that is the specific reason you're buying the monitor.
