Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The USB-C connection does power your Macbook. However, the monitor does NOT have speakers (wish I had noticed that when I bought it). Again, this monitor does not have speakers. So transferring audio from the Macbook to the monitor doesn't do you any good unless you have headphones plugged into the monitor's headphone jack. THIS MONITOR DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS. nuts
