Q: QuestionHow to control the humidity inside the fridge
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello there. We understand your inquiry about controlling humidity inside your LG refrigerator model LS27T3230S. This model features humidity-controlled crisper drawers designed to keep produce fresher for longer by adjusting moisture levels. You can use the humidity control knob at the front of each crisper: slide it toward the “keep moist” setting for leafy vegetables and toward the “let moist air out” setting for fruits that benefit from lower humidity. This allows you to store different produce types in separate crispers with optimal humidity conditions. Beyond the crispers, overall humidity inside the main compartment is influenced by temperature settings, door usage, and home environment. Maintain the refrigerator temperature around 37°F (3°C) and freezer at 0°F (-18°C) per the manual to minimize condensation. Avoid placing warm or uncovered foods directly into the fridge, and limit door openings to reduce moist air entering. Ensure door gaskets are clean and sealing properly to prevent external humidity ingress. If your home environment is very humid, running a dehumidifier in the kitchen or improving ventilation can help control moisture buildup when the doors are opened. You can also monitor and adjust settings remotely via the LG ThinQ app for temperature but note it does not directly adjust humidity; however, keeping optimal temperature helps stabilize internal moisture levels. If you notice excessive condensation or frost, check that air vents inside the fridge are not blocked by items, allowing proper airflow around cooling elements. Regularly run the recommended routines to ensure the system functions correctly. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-26-6-cu-ft-side-by-side-smart-refrigerator-with-external-ice-and-water-stainless-steel/6593466.p?skuId=6593466 If you need further guidance on using the crisper controls, adjusting temperature settings, or troubleshooting moisture concerns, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions.
