No, the picture is misleading. There is no secondary ice maker on this model. It does not make craft ice in any way, shape, or form.

Standard Depth, 3-Door French Door Refrigerator with Tall Ice & Water Dispenser, Model # LF31T6230S, IS NOT a dual ice maker model. It has an In-Door Ice Maker and it does NOT have a factory-installed Craft Ice™ Maker that produces spherical slow-melting craft ice. The picture you are referring to is the ice storage bin in the freezer compartment that can be used to store ice from the In-Door ice maker when the in-door ice storage bins gets full. When the in-door ice storage bin gets full, ice production stops, so you can empty the ice into the freezer ice storage bin so ice production in the in-door ice maker can resume...^Ivan.
