•Find the ice maker controls, which are usually on the front or side of the unit.
•Some models may have the controls on the main refrigerator control panel.
•Locate the power switch or lever, usually a metal arm, to turn the ice maker on and off.
•Switch the power switch or lever to the "off" position to deactivate the ice maker.
