  • QuestionThere isn’t a soak option on the machine but is there a way to stop the washer and soak a load of clothes without the water draining out of the tub?

    Asked by TJ.

    • Answer Regrettably, there is no conventional way to pause the LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology - White, Model # WT6105CW, so you can soak clothes without the water draining from the tub. The lid unlocks for a limited time, and the machine will auto-drain if left in a paused state for more than 10-20 minutes...^Ivan.

  • QuestionIf the machine becomes unbalanced (or thinks it is) does it just stop or does it try to add more water? I'm looking for a washer that doesn't do this.

    Asked by Jennifer.

    • Answer The Extra Rinse LED on the LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology, Model # WT6105CW, blinks to indicate an unbalance error when the load is out of balance and if articles have become tangled, preventing the automatic rebalancing from working properly, you will need to manually redistribute the load. At the beginning of every spin cycle, the washer is able to determine if your load is out of balance. If so, the washer will attempt to rebalance the load by filling with water, and agitating for sevaral minutes before draining the water, and testing the balance again. The display will alternate between 'uE' and the cycle time while it is trying to rebalance the load. If the washer is unable to rebalance the load on its own, it will pause the cycle and a 'UE' error code will show on the display. If this occurs, you will need to open the washer, and manually redistribute the load...^Ivan.

  • QuestionI got this washing machine as a present, my question is why the middle agitator work so slow? It doesn’t matter the cicle I use. And the close don’t seems to be cleaning well.

    Asked by TM.

    • Answer It is my understanding these newer machines are like a combination of the old but true agitator models but with newer, efficient commercial front load technology. So the agitator gently rolls your clothes rather then the twisting and swishing around like they used to. Mae sure you are using HE detergent and enough for the size load you are washing, I’d say.

  • QuestionWhat is causing the new washing machine to not only has water in the fabric softener compartment at the end of the cycle, so does the detergent compartment. And to top it off during this last wash, the whole tray popped open during the wash

    Asked by SoftenerDetergent.

    • Answer It is normal for the fabric softener and the detergent compartments for the LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology - White, Model # WT6105CW, to have some residual water left after a wash cycle. This is due to the siphon system used to dispense the additives. However, if the compartments are completely full or filled with soap residue, it indicates a need for cleaning or a clog, or that the inserts are not properly installed in the detergent compartment, and that is probably why the whole tray popped open during the wash...^Ivan.

  • QuestionThere is water in the fabric softener drawer after the wash cycles. The only way to get rid of it is to also run a rinse and spin separately afterwards. It is a new machine. And we don't use fabric softener. Please help!

    Asked by FabricSoftenerWater.

    • Answer Hi, there! Thank you for reaching out about your LG Washer (WT6105CW). We appreciate you checking in about the water left in the fabric softener drawer. It is normal for a small amount of residual water to remain in the dispenser tray after a wash. Detergent can gradually build up in the dispenser tray over time, and if it isn’t cleaned regularly, water and additives may not dispense fully. Here are simple, direct steps you can try: • Clean the dispenser drawer. • Level the unit. • Dilute softener. For more details, you can visit the support page for your model: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-water-left-in-dispenser--1337625067361. • QuestionThe fabric softener drawer was full of water after first wash, new machine. And we don't use fabric softener. Follow-up question, since you answered previously about build up issues which aren't the case here. Thanks.

    Asked by IanZ.

    • Answer When you say the fabric softener compartment is "full of water", is that residual water, or is it there an excessive amount of water in the compartment? It is normal for there to be a residual amount of water in the fabric softener compartment for the LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology - White, Model # WT6105CW, or in any washer. The compartment works by filling, then siphoning the liquid out, so if you do not use fabric softener, If the machine is not perfectly level, water may not sit correctly in the dispenser to trigger the siphon, causing it to remain in the compartment. Low water pressure may also be another cause. If the water pressure is too low, the water entering the dispenser won't flow fast enough to start the siphoning process, or it may be a faulty water valve solenoid requiring a service technician...^Ivan.

  • QuestionHow to remove detergent drawer? And how to stop the fabric softener drawer from being full of water after each wash, on a new machine?

    Asked by IanZ.

    • Answer The 'Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer' instructions on page 22 in your owner's manual for the LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum Technology - White, Model # WT6105CW, has explicit instructions and illustrated diagrams showing how to remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer. If your fabric softener is too thick, the viscous liquid solidifies or leaves buildup that restricts the siphon tube, leading to poor drainage and leaving the compartment full of water after a wash cycle. To avoid this, dilute the fabric softener with water, clean the dispenser drawer and siphon cap regularly with warm water, or use a small brush to remove residue. Be sure to mix the softener with 50% water and 5% softener so it will dispense without clogging the siphon hole in the dispenser...^Ivan.
